Hosting an online event gets easier with local company's new tool
San Antonio-based cloud-based virtual events company 6Connex added a self-service product for organizations hosting professional virtual or hybrid events.
The new product, 6Connex Launch, allows users to create and deploy virtual or hybrid events in as little as three minutes and monitors user engagement, the company's CEO Ruben Castaño said in a news release.
“We believe that events have evolved in a way that puts attendees – not the brand, the event producers, nor the sponsors – front and center,” Joakim Jonsson, 6Connex's chief product officer, said.
The product costs about $15,000, which includes many similar features to the company's more expensive established products, which include a secure 3D environment where attendees can congregate within the online platform.
As previously reported by the Business Journal, 6Connex has seen tremendous growth throughout the Covid-19 pandemic seeing "significantly higher" 2020 revenue growth projections compared to the $20 million projected in May, Castaño said in December.
6Connex has been a portfolio company of Dura Software since October 2019, moving its headquarters from California to San Antonio. Dura Software acquires companies with annual revenue of $1.5 million to $4 million.
